- You want to start with the cover of your printer. Wipe it down with a soft cloth. If you find a stubborn spot, you can use a little of a neutral cleaner.
- Now get to the glass area of the printer. Don’t put too much pressure on the glass, and wipe in a circular motion. Use the alcohol on the cloth but don’t get it too wet. Wipe clear of any excess liquid.
- You can dampen the lint-free cloth with water to wipe off the touch screen.
- Now to tackle the automatic document feeder. Lift it all the way up and using the lint-free cloth with a little alcohol, clean the rollers, gently turning them as you clean them.
- There’s a rail that moves the lens across the document when printing. Use a cotton swab moistened with alcohol to clean this.
